North Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency
North Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency (NRVWWDA) is one of the nine (9) Water Works Development Agencies under the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation. It was established vide Gazette Notice No. 5 of 7th February 2020 pursuant to the Water Act No. 43 of 2016. It covers the counties of Uasin Gishu, West Pokot, Turkana and Elgeyo-Marakwet with a total Population of approx. 3.2 Million and an area of approx. 83,000 km2. The Agency was carved off the former Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency (West Pokot, Turkana and Elgeyo-Marakwet counties) and Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency (Uasin Gishu County).

Today, the Agency,led by Board Director Prof. Sammy Latema and the CEO Mr. Edwin C. Rotich, joined the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation @mugaa_eric on a joint supervision mission for Moi’s Bridge–Matunda Water Supply and Sewerage Project.
4NRVWWDA joined the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation and stakeholders for the launch of Phase II of the Cheminya Dam Water Supply Project, reaffirming our commitment to sustainable water services for all.
